Babcock Chemist Receives SARBS
2011 Laboratory Person of the Year Award

On February 25th, 2012, the California Water Environment Association, Santa Ana River Basin Section (SARBS) held their annual awards dinner at the Fender Center for Performing Arts in Corona, California.
Among the recipients of this year's awards was Babcock Lab's own Angelique Petrosyan. Ms. Petrosyan, a chemist in our Metals Department, was presented the SARBS "Laboratory Person of the Year Award" for 2011.
Angelique joined the Babcock team in June 2007. She currently performs metals analysis on a variety of sample matrices including drinking water, storm water, waste water, soils, sludges and hazardous materials utilizing ICPMS technology. She also prepares and analyzes Mercury by Cold Vapor Atomic Absorption (CVAA) methodology. Her other testing responsibilities include: Total Organic Carbon (TOC) analysis, the Toxicity Characteristic Leaching Procedure (TCLP), Total Phosphates, and the California assessment metals (CAM) analysis. Ms. Petrosyan is also proficient in Inductively Coupled Plasma (ICP) techniques and flashpoint testing. With more than 10 years laboratory experience, Ms. Petrosyan is a proud member of the Babcock Analytical team who proudly provide unparalleled service and value to our clients.
