Babcock Labs:  An Active Member of Your Community

     When you've been a member of the community for as long as Babcock Laboratories, you understand your obligation to give back to it.  Each year Babcock Labs makes contributions to organizations that support education, research and community growth. 

     "We recognize that we have a responsibility to educate within our field as well as encourage future leaders. We serve as a valuable resource for the industry and the local community by volunteering for projects, making donations, and providing services to students," says CEO Allison Mackenzie.

     This past year, Babcock Labs donated to programs such as Riverside Against Drugs and Dollars for Scholars. The lab also supported organizations such as the American Cancer Society, The American Red Cross, The Rotary Foundation, The Water Education Foundation, and the Foothill AIDS Project.

     Babcock team members regularly speak at ACWA and CWEA events supporting professional development and environmental industry education in the water and wastewater fields. In line with Babcock Lab's belief in furthering education and developing careers, this past November Ms. Mackenzie participated in the Ground Water Institute for Teachers program through the American Ground Water Trust, sponsored by the Western Municipal Water District. She was involved in the lecture series for teacher training and informed local teachers about the role laboratories play in the industry as well as the potential for careers for young people in water testing.  To read the full story, click here.
