True Value:
A Closer Look at the Real Cost of Doing Business with The Lowest Bidder

In the business world today, it is no secret that cost has become one of the most important factors in purchasing services. It is now assumed that business will be awarded to whoever offers the lowest price.

But what constitutes cost? With the competition in today's market, more and more companies are struggling to stay in the game. In an effort to compete, companies are making cuts - but with cuts come consequences. The most common places for companies to make cuts are in areas not specified in the contract or believed to have little effect on the contracted service, such as customer service, employee caliber and overall quality. A cheap price tag may provide a bottom line cost for a specific service, but it rarely takes into consideration any other needs of the client. Price Picture

Cost is often measured in the short-term, however, in an industry that requires quality data, rigorous testing methods, expertise in the field, critical thinking and flexibility, the most detrimental cost can occur in the long-term. Therefore, what constitutes the lowest cost is actually the highest value.

It is for this reason that Babcock Laboratories offers true value to its clients. In addition to the analytical services we provide, our "value added" benefits make Babcock a cost-effective solution for your laboratory requirements. Experience in the industry is a key component to understanding clients' needs and the ever-changing standards that the data must meet. Our complimentary technical consultation is handled by experienced laboratory professionals who provide the most up-to-date information possible. We maintain a strict adherence to regulatory reporting deadlines and all reports are reviewed for accuracy, consistency and historical relevancy.  (Click here to read more).

Lab Tip of The Month
Plan Ahead for End of the Year Sampling
Bottles
With the calendar year coming to an end, it is important to plan ahead to finish all of your sampling requirements. Do you have the proper containers needed to get your sampling done? As the holidays draw near, keep in mind that the lab will have fewer days of operation so try to plan your sampling accordingly. If you need your reports to be out by the end of the year, make sure to submit samples with plenty of time to spare.
