Andrew "D.A." Wallach of national recording group Chester French, Helps Urban League Young Professionals by partaking in Scholarship 'Date Auction'


Milwaukee (February 1, 2010) - Milwaukee raised Andrew "D.A." Wallach of the popular Star Trak/Interscope signed national recording band Chester French; wants to lend his celebrity to help raise funds for the Milwaukee Urban League Young Professionals 5th Annual 'Dating Game' Scholarship Fundraiser. The event will take place on Friday, February 12, 2010 from 8:00pm to 12:00am at the Bavarian Inn Glendale, 700 W. Lexington Boulevard.

"We're thrilled that D.A. wants to participate in our 'Date Auction', this just adds a whole new level of fun to the event!" said Ketiwe Zipperer, Fundraising Committee Chair. "D.A. wanted to participate because he's dedicated to the Milwaukee community, and sees this as an opportunity for him to give back to the youth in his hometown; a city that continues to inspire him. D.A. is a great sport, and very handsome, and we're hoping that his devoted fans will come out and try to win a date with him." 

His participation in the Dating Game will consist of event attendee's bidding on a chance to snag a celebrity date with D.A. of Chester French! Proceeds will benefit the Milwaukee Urban League Young Professionals Dr. Wesley L. Scott Scholarship, for high-school students that have displayed outstanding academic achievement, a 501(3)(c) nonprofit organization.

Chester French is a pop music duo comprising singer D.A. Wallach and multi-instrumentalist Max Drummey. The two have constant visibility in the MTV circuit, such as a guest appearance on the reality show STYL'D, they've also appeared on NBC's Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, and ABC's Jimmy Kimmel Live! Originally a five-piece band, the duo met as college students attending Harvard University. Over the course of the next few years, they caught the musical ear of Kanye West, Jimmy Lovine, and Pharrell Williams, ultimately signing with Williams' Star Trak label; an imprint of Interscope records (home to U2, Eminem, Gwen Stefani). Chester French has played hundreds of shows with its three piece backing band, touring the US and Europe as a headliner or with Blink 182, Weezer, N*E*R*D, Common, or Lady Gaga. In April of 2009, Chester French released its highly-anticipated debut album, Love the Future, which has received broad critical acclaim.
