100 DAYS UNTIL 5TH ANNUAL 'DATING GAME' SCHOLARSHIP FUNDRAISER

Milwaukee
- The Milwaukee Urban League Young Professionals are gearing up for its 5th Annual 'Dating Game' Scholarship Fundraiser. The event will take place on Friday, February 12, 2010 from 8:00pm to 12:00am at the Bavarian Inn Glendale, 700 W. Lexington Boulevard. 'Dating Game 2009' raised over $3500 dollars for its Dr. Wesley L. Scott Scholarship Fundraiser for students that displayed outstanding academic achievement.

"We have become successful in making the Dating Game a staple in the young professionals' circuit; it's an event that people come to expect. Five years is a short amount of time, but it's long enough to become impactful, and long enough to breed longevity to fuel its objective. In 5 years we have been successful in helping send over 20 students to college, and awarding over $13,000 dollars in scholarships. We're able to remain resilient in an ailing economy where many non-profits are struggling fiscally. Our dedication has lead us to streamline initiatives, to ensure our focal agendas' success," said Richard Badger, Milwaukee Urban League Young Professionals President.

The 100 day countdown will consist of 'Dating Game' sponsorship solicitations locally, print, social media, and e-mail news updates, in addition to selecting event participants. As the event draws closer; aggressive marketing efforts will be exhibited in radio, on-line news mediums and calendar of events listings.
