Milwaukee - The Milwaukee Urban League Young Professionals are set to host its 7th
Annual Gala: A Masquerade Ball (formerly White Linen Gala) Saturday August 15th,
2009 at the Milwaukee Athletic Club, 758 North Broadway. This is the Young
Professionals signature fundraiser of the year, raising funds to support
key initiatives and scholarships for the organization. This gala brings
together some of the cities influential leaders and young professionals alike!

This years' event was given
a facelift to bring a fresh element this time around, and going forward! Reinforcing
the Gala's importance is the key initiative for re-branding the event. The Gala will feature a
performance by Milwaukee based rock & R&B fusion group "Cigarette
Break", and presentations of the Leadership and Community Service Awards.
This years' Gala award recipients include, for Bridging the
Intergenerational Gap Leadership Award; Allen Ruppel - CEO Unity in Motion,
Ralph Hollman - President Milwaukee Urban League, and Harold Scott - former VP
of Human Resources at Harley Davidson, who's currently a MUL Board Member, for Community
Achiever Award; Lamonte Harris, MULYP Member of the Year; Katherine Morris
& Sabrina Jackson, Special Recognition; Cecily Glenn & Darryn Dewalt.
