Greetings Family,
So much has occurred in this past month. Nationally, we had our 6th Annual Legislative Policy Conference in Washington D.C., where we were proudly touted to have the most active Twitter site in the country! Also, we were complimented in so many areas, that it makes me so proud to be the President of this chapter. Spring, arguably the best time of the year, colors become vibrant, the flowers bloom and the Milwaukee Urban League Young Professionals are able to come out of their offices and become visible in the community! I am thankful to each of you that came out on April 11 to the ommunity clean-up. Although, it is not said, know that your work in this community is greatly appreciated. I am looking forward to this month. Great weather, new energy and new members. We have officially reached a milestone, we now have 200 officially paid members. We have more active members participating in our events than ever before! This is attributed to the great work of our board, as well as to all of our members representing our great brand to this community. Lastly, I want to congratulate Sean Lowe, Taffie Foster-Toney and Sabrina Jackson, as I have selected each of them for member(s) of the year. Each of them have been stellar members in a great organization, and this small acknowledgement doesn't speak to all that they do within the movement. Thank you for your commitment, loyalty and dedication not just to the movement, but to the community as a whole. Don't forget to report your community service hours to Katherine Morris, so we will exceed our goal of 5000 hours this year!
Yours In the Movement,
Richard M. Badger

Health & Wellness Tips
- Take some time today to reflect on an important goal, value, or concern. It could be connected to your family or career, or to a personal trait like wisdom, serenity, or generosity.
- It's Spring! Sit outside for a few minutes a day. Sunshine helps support the body's vitamin D production!
- Be sure to have a friendly conversation with a co-worker for a few minutes everyday. This will make going to work seem more fun and less like "work."
Please welcome our NEW Health & Wellness Co-Chairs!! Kenya Evans & Alison Westphal, both ladies bring a wealth of knowledge to this area, and we're excited to have them aboard!! So be on the look-out for correspondences from these women!
