Community Service Committee Milwaukee Urban League Young Professionals
Greetings Young Professionals,
Hoping your weekend was a good one. I come to you today with some exciting community service opportunities. Please take a look at these prospects, and decide which ones jump out to you!
I'd also like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank the volunteers for the Ronald McDonald House Dinner from February 26, we had an overwhelming presence of volunteers...and the staff and families were deeply grateful. Our members truly stepped up! Again, thank you, because community service is the focus of this organization. And also, please remember to report your hours!
Here are the hours we have reported so far for the year that we are tracking. Check to see if yours are reported, if not email myself Katherine.Morris@tmulyp.org or Sean.Lowe@tmulyp.org to report them. MULYP Community Service Hours
Yours in the Movement,

Community Service Hours FAQ
|
Why do we need to report our hours? As a community service based organization, every YP Chapter records their members hours due to a number of reasons.
- They are used to track our annual community service hour goal (5,000 is the 2009 goal).
- Used to report to the National Urban League for annual awards and national recognition.
- Starting next month, the member that reports the most hours will be eligible to be featured on our website and this email list as the Community Service Advocate of the Month.
- The member that reports the most hours will receive an award and special recognition at our annual summer fundraiser.
Do only MULYP Community Service events count? All community service hours that you perform are counted as community service! Such as if you are a Big Brother/Big Sister, do after school tutoring, coach a little league team, etc. The three keys to remember are that if it is volunteer, unpaid, and helping others, it counts so report it! :)
How far back do you want my community service hours? An MULYP year is from August-August. So please report any hours that you have accrued from August 2008 on forward.
How can check to see how many hours I have reported already?
