Greetings!
In the Summer 2012 edition of "The Trend Forecaster" the author, Jill Sands writes, "We'll be seeing a bright, cheery palette through 2013...optimistic and energetic. Brights are refreshing and rejuvenating. Used as an accent, they embolden a palette. As a minor accent, they offer life and upswing to a more timid palette." Who hasn't tried this Spring or Summer to add accents of coral or orange to their home or wardrobe? Seems that the post-recession shoppers are craving the upbeat color palettes to brighten their outlooks and blend with their eclectic taste. |

What is Eclectic?
The word "eclectic" is often tossed around to define a personal attachment to styles spanning many eras, materials, origins and colors. The beauty of it lies in being able to like what you like and coordinate it effortlessly.
After falling in love with pieces that are quite different for them, clients often ask "I love it, but will it go with what I already own?"
There are fun & simple ways to think about bending the traditional rules of design, such as playing with:
style, scale, palette, and textures. |
