There were several speakers covering the topics of evidence preservation, real-time reporting, reporting trends and advice for new hires.
Many ACC students were at the convention to hear the speakers and visit with the vendors.
NCRA officials talked about ACC's program and the recent success of graduates who took the state certification exam. ACC court reporting students had the highest percentage of students passing the Texas Court Reporters Certification Board.
Of the 49 students throughout the state who took the exam in April, only six passed. Four of those students were from ACC.
"You have an advantage over so many people," said Glyn Poage, NCRA board member. "You've chosen one of the greatest places to learn."
