Medicaid rights and independent contractors

More than sixty individuals representing families and people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, as well as independent contractors, met on 6/25/12 to discuss recently proposed changes to discontinue independent contractors for those served by Developmental Pathways in CES or SLS with attorney Eric Solem.

Eric listened and responded to questions and concerns. The Arc of Aurora has uploaded two videos from that meeting addressing:

IC changes SLS and CES what we know p1.wmv

More video segments from the 6/25/12 meeting will be updated as time allows us to edit to meet size and time limits of Youtube.  Other immediate options were presented in an earlier communication from The Arc of Aurora.  More information will be provided, at a minimum,  by week's end on how to formally ask for an extension.

Those who attended the meeting on 6/26/12 have asked that names and email addresses be shared to allow families and IC's to communicate directly.  Should you want your name and email shared, then please register your information at

We will send this database of names and info out to all who register. The Arc of Aurora will also keep everyone updated via our private email list.
