| Almost Spring Greetings!
We spring forward our clocks this weekend, and next weekend's Springfest Basket Bonanza at McCarthy's offers us an opportunity to gather informally and catch up with other friends and members from The Arc of Aurora -- a perfect WELCOME SPRING! activity! Board and other members, friends and staff have worked hard to gather and assemble fun baskets for silent auction-style bidding, and host Tim McCarthy welcomes us for this fourth year event. Dust off your spring attire and plan to attend!

Theatre tickets; Renaissance Festival tickets; dinner at Outback, Chili's, Old Chicago, Anthony's Pizza, Olive Garden, Red Lobster; Easter baskets; coffee; kitchen items; a silver tray and coffee pot; a massage... These and many more items are included in baskets to be silently auctioned at The Arc of Aurora's Annual Springfest Basket Bonanza hosted by McCarthy's Sports Restaurant and Bar, 15350 E. Smoky Hill Road, Aurora, on Saturday evening, March 20, from 6:30-8:30PM.
Baskets, to name a few, include the Tally-Ho! (includes Colorado Renaissance Festival tickets), the Kids' Night In, Adults' Night Out (includes Old Chicago gift certificates and Denver Center Theatre Company tickets to "Othello"), the Happy Mother's Day (includes a facial) and the Happy Father's Day: Get Goin', Dad! (includes Starbuck's coffee and gifts). Event host Tim McCarthy is preparing a complimentary light buffet for Springfest guests to accompany his happy hour drink specials. Also, this year you can check out an up-to-date basket list on our website.
The timing of this year's Springfest finds Easter baskets joining the other themed baskets available for silent bidding. Cash, checks, and credit cards are all acceptable forms of payment. All are welcome at this family friendly, low-key, fun event! Stop in, grab a bite, quench your thirst, catch up with friends, bid on a basket or two... See you there! |

Wish List: We are searching for...
... a couple/few volunteers looking for a good physical workout: We have a cyclone fence that was damaged a while back and needs to be removed. The task involves digging out cemented posts and hauling the damaged fencing to our on-site dumpster. Timing for the work is very flexible. Contact Jean if you can help. | |
