NJ Transit Morris Local Bus Changes - September 5
Local Bus Changes

 

Effective September 5, 2011, NJ Transit has issued new timetables for the local bus system in Morris County. The NJT 871 and 874 will have schedule changes. The NJT 872, 873, 875, and 880 will have route and schedule changes. View the Transit Advisory or order new schedules from the Order Publications page.  

NJDOT State Aid Programs Accepting ApplicationsNJDOT

 

The NJDOT is accepting applications for Municipal Aid, Bikeway, and Safe Streets to Transit Programs. Program descriptions and application guidelines can be found on the NJDOT State Aid webpage.   

New 2010 Census Summary File 1 Data Release
Census 2012

On August 11, 2011, the US Census Bureau released its Summary File 1 (SF1) data tables for six states, including New Jersey. The SF1 data features new information on race, age by sex, and more details on children, housing tenure and other items. Below are a few highlights:

  • 3.6% of Morris County households are "multi-generational" (with three or more generations such as grandparents, parents and children) all sharing the same home.
  • 2,628 Morris County residents live in nursing homes and 3,529 live in college or university student housing.
  • 87 residents of Morris County are age 100 years or older and 4,959 children are under 1 year of age. The largest age is 45 years with 9,014 persons.

Three new tables containing some of the SF1 data are now available within the  Population section of the Data page.

 

 

NJ Transit Customer Satisfaction SurveyNJT  

 

NJ Transit is conducting a customer satisfaction survey on bus, rail, light rail, and Access Link service until August 22, 2011.
