Cary Mom Bitten by the Bug - Designs Dragonfly girlgear ™
We see London, we see France, and we see your kid's underpants...and wedgie! Has your young girl conquered the world of sports and can climb stadium steps faster than Rookie Balboa? But the poor sweet cheeks find that's not the only thing climbing? There's a big need for these kids to keep their petal pushing under control with good sports under-gear that will keep them focused on the game and not public humiliation.
We double-dog dare you to try not to like this athletic sport and support wear designed by local Cary Soccer Mom and entrepreneur MaryAnne Gucciardi. Her inspiration for Dragonfly girlgear™ came right from the soccer fields. Mom's chatting on the sidelines about their tweens and teens not finding proper undergarments that are age appropriate for these young female athletes.
Introducing Dragonfly girlgear ™ the first line of athletic sport and support wear designed for young sporty girls ages 8-17. With unique sizing, high-tech moisture-wicking fabrics, age appropriate support and comfortable fit. Dragonfly girlgear ™ cammies, sliders and sports bras help girls play their very best whether they are on the soccer field, tennis court, or any other athletic venue.
BeTween Scene: Bring some sanity to an otherwise awkward, confusing time. The Un-Tee ™ Cami for active girls playing a variety of sports is a stretchy, breathable, lightweight fabric that's tag-free, flat seamed, with a soft-wicking shelf-bra offering modesty, support and comfort. It also is moisture-wicking outer layer for quick-dry comfort. It will discretely camouflage garments worn under all uniform colors including white. Sizes range from 8 to 16 and come in white, sky, midnight, orange and bright pink.
Slim Pickings: The Un-Dee™ Compression Short is designed specifically for under-uniforms. Girls can play their best... run, jump, bat, kick, shoot and more, all while staying cool and comfortable without focusing on their under-gear. Breathable mesh panels and longer leg offer smoothing light compression without any bunching, rubbing or twisting; all with the same great qualities as the Un-Tee ™. Sizes are 8 to 16 in white, black and midnight.

Rock & Roll Stroll - Hall of Famers Hit the Triangle
Perhaps their 401-K's are underperforming ... or they are just trying to regain some "rock cred". Whatever the reason, fans in the Triangle will get an opportunity to catch four Hall of Fame acts in March and April. Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductees Elton John, The Beach Boys, and Red Hot Chili Peppers and Country Music Hall of Famer, Loretta Lynn, will grace our stages and showcase the talent and tunes of a generation. So what if their Mod-A-Go-Go stretch elastic pants now have Sansabelt, they (like Keith Richards) are the survivors. Imagine what stories they can tell!
Elton John- March 16 - RBC Center: Fresh off his latest tiff with Madonna, Elton John continues to wow audiences with his talent and flamboyance. His new album, "Rocket Man", is a compilation of his biggest studio and live hits plus five spectacular videos. One of the most enduring and successful singer /songwriters of his generation, Sir Elton is a showman extraordinaire with over four decades of success. If anything, it will be worth it to count the outfit changes. Tickets
Red Hot Chili Peppers- April 4 - RBC Center: Ready to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in April, the Red Hot Chili Peppers are an American alternative rock band with an emphasis on funk as well as hip hop, punk, and psychedelic rock. They have sold over 70 million albums worldwide and scored six Grammy's, A sure way to put red hot fire in your belly! Tickets
Loretta Lynn- April 7 - Durham Performing Arts Center: The Coal Miner's Daughter is a national treasure (singer/songwriter, author, and philanthropist) who pioneered the path for women in country and rock music. Starting with a $17 Harmony guitar, Loretta cut her first record before the Beatles and still topped the country album charts in 2004 with the Jack White produced album, "Van Lear Rose". She has written over 160 songs, released 70 albums, and received almost every award imaginable. Not bad for a little girl from Butcher Holler. Tickets
The Beach Boys- April 29 - Raleigh Amphitheater: One of only a few American bands that could hold their own against the 60's British Invasion, The Beach Boys are celebrating 50 years in the business with the Beach Boys 50 Tour. Those of you who saw them on the Grammy's this month recognize that the core of Brian Wilson, Mike Love, Al Jardine, and Bruce Johnson (along with David Marks) can still pump out the Fun-Fun-Fun favorites. Put on your best surfer shirt and rock to the memories at this once-in-a-lifetime event. Tickets have yet to go on sale but check this Website.

The Beltline Buzz items are selected by our editors. No one can pay to be featured on The Beltline Buzz.. That's what advertising is for, and it's always labeled as such. Selling ourselves (literally) would destroy the legitimacy, integrity, and fun of The Beltline Buzz. Plus, we'd never earn your trust that way. So we'll never make a dime off your meal at a restaurant nor a penny from the sale of the latest accessory we told you about.
That said, on occasion, we will send out "Dedicated" e-mails on behalf of sponsors. You'll recognize them from the subject line: "The Beltline Buzz Dedicated E-mail." Yes, these are paid for. And, no, we would never sell our subscriber list to anyone. Not for any amount of money. We hope that you continue to enjoy your Beltline Buzz. We look forward to delivering it.
