The outstanding movie is about five men (four on a local police force) striving to be better fathers. The story illustrates the everyday struggles of fatherhood and dealing with tragedy when it comes their way.

After the movie, consensus was that they found it a compelling story with plenty of action and just the right amount of humor. It shouldn't be missed by anyone who's always wondering why they don't make wholesome movies with uplifting messages anymore.

Nightmares for Braces: Halloween Candy to Avoid  Halloween is a fun time of year for kids of all ages... but can be a 'nightmare' for our patients if they are damaging their braces by eating the wrong treats. Does this mean your ghoulish evening must be treat-free if you or your kids have braces? No way! Just make sure you eat foods that are soft and easy to chew. Such as these:- Soft, melt-in-your-mouth chocolates
- Peanut butter cups
- Gelatin
- Peeled, thinly sliced apples
- Ice cream

Halloween Foods to Avoid if you have Braces: Generally any sticky, hard, chewy or crunchy foods should be limited or avoided. So off limits to these: - Caramels

- Hard Pretzels
- Bubble Gum
- Candy Corn
- Lollipops
- Taco chips
- Ice
Brush and Floss: You don't want your dental health to be a scary affair, so be sure to brush and floss after your Halloween outings. This will dislodge any candy and other foods stuck in the braces (and is just good dental hygiene you should practice daily). Now go out there and have a ghoulishly good time and take good care of your braces! |

 A Good Egg! Terri Allen knows which came first the chicken or the egg. (Do you?) She recently started raising her own eggs and gathers them each morning for a healthy breakfast. Next week she's adding goats to her 'la petite farm' out in Johnston Co. We're thinking goat cheese served on Eggs Benedict will be delicious! Yum!
Lillie Ammons, from Triangle Figure Skating Club in Wake Forest was selected as an Ice Sweepers  for the 2011 U.S. Figure Skating Championship in Greensboro. And from there she was selected to skate in the State Games of America in San Diego this past August. Lillie, we are hoping to see you in 2014 Winter Olympics in Russia. Keep it up.
Madeline Whallen is not only celebrating getting her braces off before high school, she earned the star role in Annie at St. Michaels church in Cary. Way to go Madeline!
Ellie Fagan won a state-wide art contest! Her picture is on the NC Farm to schools calendar which was available at the State Fair! 14 students won and 1400 entered! Wow... that's impressive. Congratulations Ellie!
Samantha Mazze earned 1st place in sparring and 2nd place in forms while competing in her first Tae Kwon Do tournament! This means don't mess with Samantha... She can take care of herself! Way to go!
CJ Falchi was on the honor roll for the 1st quarter at Lufkin Middle School! Keep it up CJ!
Drew Walther earned Responsible Student of the quarter recently! That's great Drew.. We know you're going to have a very successful year.
Catherine Cobb won 1st place in a crafts class at the State Fair, with her "Thank you for your service" Origami Card! Congrats Catherine!
 Tyler Wilson competed at the 2011 National Junior Olympics Championships in the boys 11-12 years Pentathlon. A Pentathlon is a five discipline event in track and field and swimming and rifle shooting. Tyler is nationally ranked in the top 25! What an accomplishment at such a young age!
Haynes Zaytoun is a starting Quarterback at Woodberry Forest. Haynes is a junior this year and also plays for Woodberry's baseball and diving teams. He is Drs. Henry and Mary Paula's nephew and Dr. Zaytoun Sr.'s grandson.

Here Come the Brides - Two Z-Team Staff Members Tie the Knot!
We are happy to announce that two of our team members have recently gotten married.
 Melania Park Curley (Mel) married Ryan Curley this past summer. Melania is one of our treatment assistants. She and Ryan were married Memorial Day weekend. The happy couple have settled into married life. Ryan is a great chef so Mel is very happy about that!
Nikki Thompson Howard married Clayton Howard on October 1st in Burlington, NC. Nikki is one of our New Patient Coordinators. Both she and her husband are ECU grads. They took a very nice honeymoon to St. Lucia for some relaxation. Now they are in the process of house hunting.
We wish both Mel and Nikki much happiness!
