Wine Tastings
We have two more wine tastings this winter, and hope that you can join us at one of them!

February 10th is the day to share your love of Lund with a loved one - bring your spouse, a co-worker, friend or neighbor for an evening of great wine and music.  This event is open to both men and women.

March 11th is set aside to kick the mid-winter blues!  This women's only night is sure to warm your heart with stories, music, and again, Shelburne Vineyard's wines.

Both events are $25 per person and taking place at Shelburne Vineyards from 5:30-7:30.  Please join us!

Greetings!

As we begin a new year, I want to thank you for believing and supporting our work in 2008.  We are facing a tough year ahead; the needs in this community are many and urgent.  I invite and encourage you to renew your commitment to our mission.  Together we will maintain and increase the quality and scope of services for Vermont's children and families.
Thank you to all who helped make the holidays special!
Kennedy ClanLund Family Center was blessed this year again with amazing support from the community - and we are extremely grateful.

To share a few things we are most grateful for:
  • Inclusion in the Burlington Free Press Giving Season
  • Individials, community groups and companies who helped 160+ families with holiday gifts and meals.
  • The generous gift of diapers and cleaning supplies from Seventh Generation.
  • Board members and their families who came in and prepared Thanksgiving Dinner and the Holiday Party meals for the residents.
  • Santa Claus came to visit not once, but twice in the days before Christmas!
  • Pajamas from the Jammie-Jam at Maple Tree Place!
  • Our donors
  • Giving trees at Vermont National Country Club, Charlotte Congregational Church, the YMCA, St. James Church and St. John Vianney.
  • Our Board of Trustees and other volunteers
  • Our staff
We had some inspired giving going on this year as well, with a family of 6 (including 4 teenage boys) adopting a family of 7 in lieu of gifts from cousins and grandparents, a son of a long-time donor deciding to have Lund receive donations instead of gifts, and Vermont's artists creating hand-painted ornaments as a fundraiser.

Vermont is an amazing community and filled with warm-hearted folks who are willing to help make a difference in the world.  Thanks for being a part of our family!

Lund Family Center In the News

On New Years Eve, the Brattleboro Reformer published an article by Eric Pero about Michelle Colburn, once a Lund baby herself and currently a Project Family Recruiter. "I was adopted through Lund, and now I work for Lund," Colburn said. "It was so comfortable right from the beginning it seemed like a good fit. This is what I was supposed to do."

Happy Reading and kudos to Michelle for sharing this beautiful story!
