Many people think having out of body experiences make you
more Spiritual and closer to God.
Have you ever had an out of body experience? You may think
you have not, however, it seems to me most of us are living our lives out of
our bodies most of the time. We are living in our thoughts which take us to
what we are thinking about. An example is thinking about a conversation with
your friend can take to do a place of re-experiencing that conversation or a place
of floating away, day dreaming.
Well then, what is an "in body experience"? An in body experience is actually a
much more grounded experience. Here is an a way to actually experience being
inside your body.
If you wear glasses, any kind of glasses will do, put on
your glasses. Then take a moment to "be inside" your body by actually looking
out your eyes while being behind your glasses. Can you feel the difference?
You can also experience being in your body by tapping your
finger on the middle of your forehead. That is where your 6th Chakra
is, also know as your 3rd eye.
Can you feel the difference between being ungrounded and
floating around Vs. being in your body and looking out from inside?
The trick actually is not having an out of body experience,
but how to stay inside your body.
Just think about your body for a moment. Yes, your body is
yours, but how do you think your body feels when you are mostly not home. Maybe
kind of like a robot walking around? Or maybe even like a child without a
parent home to take care of it and protect it. How much better and more secure would your body feel if it
had you at home with it?
When you mediate, it is a very satisfying experience to go
deep inside yourself. That is where God lives. That is why master's teach us
that God is in your heart and as near as your breath. Also, you may have heard
that your body is the temple.
What that means is being Spiritual is not, "going out
there". Being Spiritual is knowing you are God and staying at home in your personal
temple.
Try being in your body until you notice the difference
between being inside your body and floating unconsciously outside of your body.
Once you know the difference, just practice being in your body when you think
of it.
Soon you can live inside your body. Your body will be happy
to have you home and you can find all the confidence and connection to God you
have been searching for.
