StarsCREATING A HEALTHY RELATIONSHIP WITH MONEY
Money Worries It's tax season, which means most people are a bit distracted by numbers and may even be scared of what their tax forms will tell about 2009.  But whether you're going to owe or get a refund, now is a great time to really examine your relationship with money.  Do you spend too much? Are you completely unclear about how you handle your money?  Does the thought of spending scare you or do you wonder why your bank account is always low?  Let's take a good look at how to create a healthy relationship with your cash flow.

Get the clear picture.  The good thing about examining your relationship with money is that you can start with some very clear information: numbers.  Numbers are absolute and have a very clear value, so you can really get a handle on what you do with your money.  If you've never really balanced your checkbook, get someone to help you.  There are computer programs like Quicken that are great, easy-to-use tools that can help you get a clear picture of your spending habits.  So get a good understanding about your income and expenses first.

Be honest with yourself.  It may be time to start asking some hard questions.  Think about creating a budget to make sure you have enough money each month to pay your bills and even to save some money. Spend money on things that are important to you, things that can help to improve your life.  Take care of your body too. Is it time to visit the dentist? If you see something in a store that attracts you, instead of pulling out your credit card, stop and picture yourself in the future, maybe six months from now. How do you feel about that item now?  Look at the clear picture in your checkbook and see how, where and when you spend your money.

Find ways to relieve stress and be happy.  Talk to your friends.  Go for a walk.  Dance around your living room to your favorite music.  Take a soothing bath surrounded by candlelight.  Meditate. Invite friends and family over to play cards or a board game. There are plenty of things you can do to make yourself feel better that don't involve spending any money at all.

The flip side.  It's possible that you may be so stringent with your money that you deprive yourself.  This can come from being taught to strictly save, but it can also be an indication that you don't think you deserve to give yourself a gift once in a while.  Things like a nice dinner, some new books or a small decorative piece for your bedroom don't cost very much.  I'm not suggesting you spend your savings, but you may notice that your relationship with money is a reflection of how you feel about yourself.

Your relationship with money can be a very tricky subject.  If you need some guidance in figuring out how to improve this relationship, please give us a call.  We're always here to help.

Stars OLD BELIEFS VS. CREATING WHAT YOU WANT IN LIFE

GazingHave you ever wanted something you know you deserve, but cannot seem to have? Have you noticed others who have this and wonder what is going on?

When you think of this issue, perhaps a relationship or a job, how do you feel? If it brings joy to you, just hang on, as it is most likely coming right towards you.

If you feel sad, dread, guilty or just plain uncomfortable, that might be the reason this thing you want has not been able to reach you... yet.

It's ok if you feel negative emotions about something you want. Just simply acknowledging these emotions, bringing them into the light of awareness, can be the first step in transforming them.  It is when we keep these emotions a secret from ourselves that they tend to stay buried and more in unconscious control.

So, how about really bringing these negative emotions into the light by actually looking at them and even writing them down?  You can even remember, perhaps long ago when you first had these thoughts or first started feeling these feelings.

Back then, there was probably a good cause to think these things and feel this way, but remember today is a brand new day. It is time to have what you want!

After you examine these thoughts and feelings, try putting some distance between them and you. What I mean by this is look at them from a point of view of a wise person who is loving, understanding and wants what you want for yourself. Go ahead and flow some loving, healing energy to these emotions.

When you get yourself in a place where you can think these thoughts and feel these emotions with love and smile at them with compassion, you are ready to move forward.

As a reminder of what you will be creating, it may help to cut pictures from some magazines and create a collage with them.

For example, if you want a relationship, find pictures of happy couples that make you smile. If you want a job, find pictures of people doing what you would like to do.

When you have changed your energy and your feelings about what you want and you can think about what you want with joy, hang on! It is certainly headed your way!

All the very best to you!
Love and Blessings,
Susan Page
