 | LOVE THROUGHOUT THE YEAR
|
Once again February
14th is approaching and it's the time of year when we are reminded
to tell our loved ones how we feel about them. Advertisers also tell us how
to express our feelings. Although
it's a nice sentiment, shouldn't we express our love for our family, friends
and significant others all year long?
When and how we
express our feelings should be based on wanting
to express those feelings.
Granted, for some of us, expressing our feelings can be difficult, so
the excuse of a holiday may even feel like a relief. However, here are some ideas of how to show those in your
inner circle how you feel about them at any time of year.
An item of interest - A book about 13th century art, a
small trinket for their elephant collection, a pendant. Anything that reflects their interest
in a particular topic shows you pay attention and know what they like.
Flowers - They just simply brighten up the room, the
atmosphere and the spirits of the receiver.
Surprise tickets - Is your loved one's favorite band in
town? Have they been talking about
that show that's been running for a month? If you can afford it, treating someone to a live event is a
great gift.
A phone call - Between email and texting and online
chatting, phone calls are becoming obsolete. If you haven't spoken to a friend or family member
face-to-face in a long while, pick up the phone and dial. You just might find that talking is not just a gift for them, but
for you too.
Hugs and kisses - Physical contact is incredibly easy for some
and frighteningly difficult for others.
But affection is a great way to show someone you care when you don't
know how to say what you're feeling.
A shoulder to lean on - Sometimes trinkets, affection or even words
aren't enough. When a friend is
going through a hard time, listening is the greatest gift you can give them to
show you care.
Three simple words - Are the simplest way for some but, the
hardest way for others, to tell someone you love them. Trust me, actually telling someone "I
love you" can result in a reaction that is well worth the struggle.
When we feel love
for someone we may think they are aware of our feelings. Communicating love,
like communicating anything else in life, should be acknowledged and clear. Feeling love and communicating love is a
very healing energy, both to the person we love and to ourselves!

Connection
to Source Energy from a Park Bench
 Staying in the light
and in the love
is really who you
are,
so be happy.
Come home to
yourself.
I am here too,
smiling!
The ego mind is just
a reflection of the fear.
Walking with me
eliminates this fear and freedom appears.
Love the lover and be
the lover.
All else takes you
away from God and is a lie.
I cannot be separate
from you as we are the same - always.
One bird flying - one
saint singing praise.
The lark does not
look for his song,
neither does this
saint.
Listen to your own
song.
Then sing it.
I will sing along
with you.
Together our music
rules eternity.

Practice makes
perfect,
but in the light you don't
need practice
to just be.
You just need to
relax and remember.
When you are in the
light.
There are no dark
corners.
Nothing can jump out
and scare you.
The light is soft.
The light is bright.
The light is only
filled with love.
You can always be
free.
