Click on the Illustrator's name or picture to see more of their work! Returning to Chemers Gallery for a second time, Boris Kulikov kicks up the humor with his bold, whimsical style. We love the sense of perspective in his mixed media illustrations that bring his characters to life. He's won a Sydney Taylor Honor and has had several books named as "Best Books of the Year." Welcome back, Boris! |

E.B. Lewis skillfully tells stories through his watercolor brushstrokes. Painting with sensitivity reminiscent of Andrew Wyeth, E.B. has illustrated over 50 books with several more on the way. The recipient of several Coretta Scott King awards and a Caldecott Honor, E.B. is masterful with books portraying a cultural and historical significance.

Sylvia Long is a keen observer of the natural world and wow, does it show in her watercolor illustrations! Her vibrant colors and stellar eye for detail have ensured that her books are consistently winning honors, including "Top 100 Children's Books of All Time," chosen by Scholastic.
|
Winner of multiple gold & silver medals from the Society of Illustrators, Chris Sheban's work is delightful! His watercolor and colored pencil illustrations leap right off the page to engage us and the way he layers colors is simply magical. Chris brings a subtle sense of humor to his work - it's all in the details. You may recognize his work on the cover of Because of Winn-Dixie.

Matt Tavares brings a style uniquely his own to his many baseball and biographical books. Every illustration is captivating and packed full of subtleties of tone and color that just don't translate to print! Matt has received many honors, including several Oppenheim Gold Seal Awards.
