Supporting the Orange County arts community has always been important to Chemers Gallery. That's why we enjoy the "Scenes of Tustin" show featuring some of the best professional and amateur artists in the area.  Varied in their viewpoints, vantages and styles, the artists work in watercolor, oil, pastel, photography, encaustic, mixed media and glass.

Amongst the professional entrants are Chemers Gallery favorites;  Kay FlierlBonnie HolmesJonde NorthcuttMax RodriguezPete RobertsJohn Sawyer and Linda Warwick Smith.

This year, TAL has reached out to art leagues around the community to expand their field of entrants. We can't wait to see the new work this will bring to the show.

All work is available for purchase. Preview artwork Tuesday, April 26th, on our website.

When USPA asked us to hold their show at Chemers Gallery, we were delighted. The pastel medium is so rich and inviting... we welcomed the opportunity to showcase this often overlooked fine art medium.

The pastel paintings from USPA will be in a variety of styles including still-life, landscape, figurative & abstract.

See the magic of pastel, first hand, while our own Mary Aslin  & Scott Jones and at least one other artist demonstrate the beauty of their arts at the May 7th reception.

Pastel is pure pigment and is the most permanent of all when applied to an archival surface. Pastel has no liquid binder that may cause the surface to darken, fade, yellow, crack or blister with time. No other medium has the power of color or the stability of pastel. It does not oxidize with the passage of time.

All works are available for purchase. Preview artwork Tuesday, April 26th, on our website.

The United Society of Pastel Artists is an Orange County membership group that seeks to promote the art of soft pastel painting through education, increased awareness and public recognition at annual exhibitions. In addition to their monthly meetings USPA holds paint-outs, modeled painting sessions, lectures and demonstrations.

Come support your community organizations and these talented artists at one or both of the receptions!
