Yoga for Runners with Kristen Stuart |
When: Tuesdays 7:30-8:30pm Where: Ultimate Fit Centre Cost: $85+gst Dates: April 20 - Jun 8, 2010 Join us for an intensive stretch and strength 8 week yoga program targeted at bringing balance and ease to a runner's body. Bring awareness to the structural and muscular imbalances caused by repetitive strain on specific muscles and joints from running. Each class will incorporate poses to target those key areas for runners: hips, hamstrings, feet, core strength, and breathing. Improve your recovery and run times, increase your distance and minimize the impact of running on your body.
 Kristen Stuart - BA, PTS, MBS, RYT Kristen is a certified Personal Trainer, Mind-Body Fitness Specialist and Registered Yoga Teacher. Her background in the fitness industry and experiences with clients as a trainer and yoga instructor, have resulted in the creation of yoga programs that target the specific needs of athletes in a variety of disciplines. Through sport repetitive motion and impact often leads to excessive tightness and imbalance which can be alleviated through yoga. Her programs provide a safe, fun and supportive environment from which participants are able to realize their strengths and develop increased awareness. She believes in the importance of balance in all aspects of life and provides the necessary tools to nurture self-discovery while striving for optimal health and wellness in mind, body and spirit.
