Protecting your assets with an umbrella policy. |
If you own or operate a car, boat, home, pool or have a young driver in your household, an Umbrella policy may help you avoid a catastropic financial loss due to:
- a personal injury that occurs on your property for which you do not have enough protection (most homeowners do not have enough protection against major personal liability claims);
- a serious swimming pool tragedy;
- a dog bite;
- an automobile or boating accident for which you do not have enough protection;
- other unforeseen liabilities.
Protect your assets with a Personal Umbrella Liability Policy! Umbrella liability insurance is so named because it acts like an "umbrella" over your automobile and homeowner's liability policies, providing you with extra protection. It is an endorsement or rider which adds a liability limit of $1,000,000 or more over and above the coverage on your home, auto and other personal insurance policies. Some of the myths surrounding umbrella liability coverage.
It's just for the rich - Your Home, savings, 401K, Retirement Plans and even your paychecks may be attached.
It's too complicated to coordinate - Let your Sampson agent do the work! PLUS, you'll reap the many benefits of having all your personal insurance with one agency.
The premiums are too expensive - An Umbrella policy starts at roughly $200. (Keep in mind, you'll spend a lot more defending a lawsuit!) *Policy terms and conditions vary by Carrier. Umbrella Coverage is subject to insurance company approval. .

You Can Save $150 on Auto Insurance! Raise Your Deductible |

This is a great way of reducing your premium, particularly if you have an older car or your car has particularly high mileage.

Summer Safety Tips from the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) warns that while summer is a great time to get outdoors, it is also the time of year consumers are most likely to be injured. Here are some helpful tips from the CPSC that will help to keep you and your family safe:
Helmet Safety
One of the best ways to stay safe this summer is to wear a helmet and other safety gear when biking, skating, and skateboarding, and when riding scooters. Studies on bicycle helmets have shown they can reduce the risk of head injury by as much as 85%.
Pool Safety
Use layers of protection to prevent a swimming pool tragedy. This includes placing barriers completely around your pool to prevent access, using door and pool alarms, closely supervising your child and being prepared in case of an emergency.
Cooking Safety When cooking outdoors with a gas grill: Check the air tubes that lead into the burner for any blockage from insects, spiders, or food grease. Check grill hoses for cracking, brittleness, holes, and leaks. Make sure there are no sharp bends in the hose or tubing. If you ever detect a leak, immediately turn off the gas at the tank and do not attempt to light the grill until the leak is fixed. |
