Mission Statement:
The Salinas Arts Council provides the community with leadership and organizational resources that are vital to the development, maintenance and promotion of the arts. The Council will be responsive to the artistic needs of the community and dedicated to the nurturing the expression of the rich and diverse cultures of our city.

Dear Arts Congress Member,
Thank you for participating in our fourth meeting on May 19, 2008 - you accomplished a lot! If you were unable to attend, please review the results below, and e-mail any comments or suggestions to us ASAP.
You are encouraged to apply as a council director, and/or feel free to sign up for a committee - remember, we can't do this without you!

Salinas Arts Council needs to seek 501(c)3, Public Benefit Not-For-Profit Status, and develop a postive link with the City of Salinas. Seek to become recognized as the offical Salinas public arts entitiy? Advise the City on Public Arts Policy, and other arts issues?
