A Message from Our President.......

Thank you to all who helped with February auditions for our three summer musicals: "Cinderella," "The Drowsy Chaperone" and "The Music Man." A special thank you must go out to  the more than 200 talented individuals who auditioned for these same shows. Of that number, 116 were cast and still more have volunteered to play in our orchestras, lend their talents backstage, and serve in one of the many additional areas needed to keep our - no, your- community theater alive and vibrant.

Now that auditions have ended, it is time to focus on our spring show, "SHOUT, The Mod Musical."  That talented cast and production team has been hard at work preparing the show for a Quad City premier. Our box office is now open Monday through Friday from 5 PM to 7 PM daily. Season tickets are still available, as are tickets for any of our 5 shows. Don't hesitate. Order your tickets now!

Lastly, some exciting news for Music Guilders in front of the proscenium. After years of planning and discussion, your Board of Directors is finalizing plans for replacement of our old auditorium seating. Soon a cost for the project will be determined - and that's where you come in. Such an undertaking is not cheap. Each of you will be asked to assist in making this project a success, whether it be to solicit a donation, make a donation, or work on one of the fund raising committees. A project of this scope will require the talents of each and every one of us, but in the end our audiences will be able to better enjoy the quality productions we mount on stage each year.

2011 is shaping up to be an exciting year. We look forward to sharing it with you.

Robert Williams

President, Quad City Music Guild
