A Message from Our President.........
Welcome to our summer season.
Director Jason Platt, his staff, cast and crew have been busy preparing "Guys and Dolls" to open our summer season. And Harold Truitt and the rest of the staff and cast of "Grease" have been in rehearsals for several weeks at Butterworth Center, which graciously allows our shows to use the recently renovated Butterworth Garage/Education Center when our Prospect Park home is occupied by another show. About the time "Guys and Dolls" wraps up its run and "Grease" moves to the park, director Wayne Hess and the staff and cast of "Curtains" will take over the Butterworth Education Center.
That's the way our summer season has gone for more than 60 years. Spring and Summer are action packed for nearly 400 volunteer directors, actors, musicians and support staff. We hope you enjoy this year's sunmmer offerings. And we hope you'll be back in December when we present "White Christmas."
Take a close look at your program when you attend "Guys and Dolls" and you'll see we've announced our 2011 season. That's a first for us. Traditionally we've waited until August to announce our coming season. But we've picked an exciting 2011 season and we wanted you to reserve the dates now, even though tickets won't be available until later in the summer.
Remember...it's not too late to take advantage of the savings available to you with our multiple-show pricing. You won't want to miss any of Quad City Music Guild's coming productions. We're sure of it.
Thanks for supporting QCMG.
