United Way Completes First Year with
e-C Impact

The United Way of Hancock County has just completed its first year using Seabrook's e-C Impact software program for the 2007-2008 grant process.

Developed specifically for United Way organizations, e-C Impact was designed to support the complete community investment process. All information related to agencies, programs, outcomes, review volunteers, community impact tracking and data analysis is well-organized.

We are pleased to report that using this software has allowed the agencies, the volunteers on the Community Solutions Committee and the staff to efficiently expedite the grant process.  We are excited to move forward and we want to thank all who helped us through this initial year.  Training and mentoring played a key role in our success with this software.

Free Tax Clinics Result in New Money to Community
The United Way's free tax clinics, held in March and April, resulted in bringing $28,000 of new money to families in Hancock County through the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) program. Trained volunteers were able to assist 43 individuals or families, saving them the cost of tax preparation, and helping them claim the EITC. Thank you, volunteers, First Federal Bank, and Millstream Career & Technology Center for assistance with this program.
