Susan Sly (Fall 2011)

"Determine never to be idle. No person will have occasion to complain of the want of time who never loses any. It is wonderful how much may be done if we are always doing."

Thomas Jefferson

As I write this week's ezine I am rushing in the door from Christmas and grocery shopping; in the midst of which taking a wonderful two hours to take Avery to the movies and manicures for some girl bonding time. Earlier in my day I did a Bikram yoga class, dropped off my baking at my children's school for the Holiday Fun Fair, ran home to shower and change, grab the kids and go to the fair and then did a call with one of our up and coming team members and his new members. I also gave out IsaDelights at the nail salon and grabbed the contact information of a potential business partner. I also managed to connect with JJ Oswald, from Sound Concepts about some new tools coming out at NYKO; essentially a typical Saturday in my life.

Like many of you, Isagenix ™ isn't just something we do, it is who we are, so weaving it into our lives, regardless of what is going on, is natural and an essential part of growing a business. What we choose to do now definitely sets us up for the 2012 we intend to experience.

On Friday, I was connecting with Star Consultant Brooke Chambers. Brooke is a single mom and a super go-getter. Brooke has always been a person who has defied the odds and gone for what she wants. I happened to catch Brooke between calls. She is on her Executive run so she can walk into NYKO with a new title. I have no doubt that Brooke can do it.

This coming week I know that 3 Star Golden Circle Laura Mulvihill and 1 Star Golden Circle Lara Marjerrison (who deeply moved the audience in Toronto) are doing in-homes and planning their next rank advancements within weeks of recently rank advancing.

This week I also sat in on a planning call for NYKO. Isagenix ™ millionaire, Hillary Courtney was also on the call. She shared how she and her husband, Justin, and their kids had just finished a cross-country drive doing event after event so they could max out their first business center. As a seasoned networker, Hillary knows that December efforts pay January dividends.

This past Tuesday, in Toronto, the Team Success Toronto Board welcomed over five hundred fired up associates and guests for the final opportunity presentation of the year. Was it easy for the Board to drop everything and host this event? No. Was it easy for the associates to bring over seventy-five guests? No. Were there other things everyone else could have been doing? Yes. That's the point though - if we really are committed to achieving something wonderful then we will stop time for a short while and get it done.

Although many people are taking time off during the Holidays, there are others who are choosing to pursue their rank advancements and go for it. They know that it is not too late and that the right people will say 'yes' regardless of the time of year. These people know that a little multi-tasking and discipline in December sets them up for a fabulous 2012. With this in mind, I asked 5 Star Golden Circles Pam and Kevin Barnum to share their tips for rank advancing in December. Pam and Kevin are the fastest people to hit six figures in Team Success and did so in the month of December. They went from 4-5 cycles/week in September to Paid As Executives and 3 Star Golden Circles the last week of December two years ago. Pam and Kevin truly understand and practice bringing Isagenix ™ into all aspects of their lives.

The thing about Pam and Kevin is that when they decide they are going to do something - they do it. They were still working at their jobs and only doing business after their son, Kaleb, went to bed and they managed to go 3 Star Golden Circle with very part-time hours. How can this be? The answer is discipline and decision; a focus on getting something done and a willingness to act when many others do not.

The result is that today, as a result of their December rank advancement, Pam and Kevin are living their dreams. They walked into New Year's Kick Off as newly minted 3 Star Golden Circles two years ago and have never looked back.

I want you to consider what you want to walk into NYKO as? Do you want to increase your rank? What do you want your lanyard to say after your name? Make a decision that it is not too late to achieve your goals.

I also to encourage you to join me on our Monday night Team Success call with my dear friend and mentor, Happiness Expert Matthew Ferry. Matthew has inspired me to understand that the happier and more peaceful I become, the greater my results. Matthew works with Wall Street Tycoons, Real Estate Mega Millionaires and high achievers. Having Matthew join us is a rare opportunity so bring your team members and benefit from this rare opportunity.

On behalf of Chris and myself, we wish you an incredible week full of possibilities. Remember that anything is possible with a vision, sweat equity and a willingness to take action when others do not.

With much love and appreciation,

Tips to Rank Advancing in December by 5 Star Golden Circles Pam and Kevin Barnum

The 3/3/3 rule!

Three new contacts and three follow-ups every day! (We have said this over and over and then you say "Why am I not growing? Why am I not rank advancing?") It is because you are not listening and not taking daily action. This is a simple discipline that MUST be repeated every day in order to succeed.

Next pick three "leaders" that you feel deserve your time and help them rank advance. Remember the most important rank advancement is "Consultant"! This can come through three way calls, in-home presentations, belly to belly meetings and conference calls. Do whatever it takes. Just be sure you helping your team mates succeed you will help achieve your ultimate goal.

This is your business and it is work!

You must stay focused be willing to pay the price! Are you?

10 Tools in the Battle Against Aging

Feeling powerless in the inevitable battle against aging? Maybe you've resigned yourself to simply "aging gracefully." But, what if you want to stare old age in the face and tell it to get lost?

Thanks to scientific research in the last 50 years, we now know that you can slow down the hands of time and, as a result, slow the effects of aging, just by doing a few simple things every day.

Here's a look at 10 things you can do right now to win the battle against aging:

Teens Eat Too Little Fruits, Vegetables

As any parent understands, getting teens to eat healthy-as in getting adequate servings of fruits and vegetables-is nothing short of a battle. Now, a new report from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) points out that the average amount of fruits and vegetables eaten by high school students is only 1.2 servings a day.

The report, published in a November issue of the CDC's Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report, analyzed data from more than 10,000 high school students (grades 9 through 12) that participated in the National Youth Physical Activity and Nutrition Study 2010. The results showed that about one third (33.2 percent) of students ate less than one vegetable serving a day and more than a quarter (28.5 percent) ate less than one fruit serving a day.
