Greetings!
I don't know about you, but I'm an eternal optimist. Give me lemons, I'll make lemonade. So while summer pleasures are ending and a double-dip recession is looming, I've decided to have this newsletter focus on the bright side of things.
Rather than feeling concerned, I want you to feel inspired and capable of handling the changes ahead. I've included links to articles which offer insights for weathering the financial storm, and my own "Personal Matters" article shares ideas to help those with children manage the strain.
To help you get past the summertime blues, I've also included links to some great and inexpensive local activities that only autumn can provide.
Finally, because after all this is a business newsletter, I've included an article demystifying the reasons why interpersonal workplace challenges are so difficult to resolve in-house. Maybe this one you can share with the boss?!
We enjoy being you partner in peace, and helping you to find solutions to all of life's problems. Please let us know how we can be of further assistance to you.
All the best,

Why You Should Look Outside the (Company) Box
As a specialist in interpersonal workplace relations I often see dismay in the faces of Business owners, senior executives, HR managers, and the like when they engage with me to provide services for their organization. They express frustration, anger, or even shame as they share detailed information about the conflict or problem which is occurring, and their unsuccessful efforts to remedy it thus far. What they rarely seem to recognize however, is that their struggle may stem more from their proximity than their competency.

September 11th remembered This year marks the 10th anniversary of the September 11th attacks, and while the 9/11 Memorial "Reflecting Absence" has yet to be completed, perhaps this 'work in progress' connects to our own individual healing left unfinished from that day. One suggestion to renew our healing, is to find ways to help others. Charity, volunteerism, and improving our relations with those around us are all ways to enhance our healing, and to reaffirm ourselves and our purpose. 9/11 Memorial - images Charity Navigator
