Seeking December Flower Shihan

What's a Flower Shihan?  Flower Shihan ensures that the shomen area is well tended with fresh flowers. Who can be Flower Shihan? Anyone willing to show their care for the dojo in this way.  Ideally, everyone would enjoy taking a turn. Who's volunteered so far? April Worley was our first Flower Shihan (Sept), followed by Jill Bentley(Oct), and Mary Tesoro (Nov). Any chance of a male volunteer for Dec Flower Shihan?

Annual Fundraiser   This year our fundraiser is more crucial than ever before. As many dojo members know, our dojo's income from student tuitions covers the major portion of facility and operating expenses--but each year we need to fundraise close to $10,000 to cover the remainder.  Because we are a program of Safe-SLO a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, tax-deductible donations can be made to benefit our youth and adult programs. Please participate this year - either by donating or by sharing our mission with individuals and businesses who make year-end charitable donations for tax purposes.  All of us who are teachers volunteer our time. Some of us volunteer in other capacities, logging as many as 40 volunteer hours weekly.  We need help if we are to continue providing our services into 2009. CLICK HERE   to learn more or to donate.
