Hey Friend,

So much has happened in the past couple of months that I've barely had time to come up for air! BUT...I finally had to make myself find the time to give you an update!

I've finished the edits on my book, Rehab for Love Junkies, and passed them on to my editor. It feels great to have gotten this far! I've also been working on planning a couple of conferences. One is here locally at New Church. Awaken Me is May 5 and has a great line up of speakers so you won't want to miss the girlfriend fun! Check out the details below!

The most exciting news I have is about Chicken Soup for the Soul. Read on for the whole scoop and how you can win a copy of their newest release, Messages from Heaven!

Messages from Heaven, Win Your Free Copy!

Chicken Soup for the Soul's latest book, Messages from Heaven was released February 28th.

My story about Garrett's trip to heaven was selected so I've been super excited about seeing the book. When the UPS truck delivered my copies I tore open the box. Quickly I turned to the table of contents to see where my story was. When I saw the listings I screamed so loud I scared the squirrels outside. My story is the FIRST in the book! A blurb about the story is also listed on the back cover and in the press release going out nationwide! Can someone say thrilled??

Several of you have already told me you'd like a copy so I'm planning a book signing soon. Details to follow! But for now, would you like to win a free copy? All you have to do is read the post below, What is Your Then When? and post a comment on my blog. I'll pick a winner next Monday, March 26th!

What is Your When Then?

In our performance driven world, even as Christian women who love the Lord, often we put aside our joy until we feel we've earned the right to have it. Amanda is tired every day. Tired of potty training. Tired of taking little Ethan back and forth to the toilet, especially for false alarms. "It seems like that's all I do all day long," says Amanda, "but when I get him potty trained, then I'll relax and enjoy life again." Amanda is too focused on her issue to realize it now, but she's too stressed to be happy.

Debbie is dealing with an entirely different issue. Struggling to balance her career, family and the responsibilities of taking care of her aging mother, her only pleasurable indulgence is her nightly ritual of hot fudge and ice cream. "After everyone's in bed, it's the only time I have to completely unwind," says Debbie. "That's when I remind myself, it won't always be like this. Someday, I'll get my life back." Debbie feels guilty for being happy for too long. As soon as the ice cream melts, it's time to get back to reality.
