September was the busiest month I've had in a long time! For a homebody like me traveling to South Texas, Wichita and Tulsa was a bit out of my comfort zone, but I met some amazing women and made some divine connections. Blessings to all of you! I wish I could hug your necks again!

My daughter Brittany loves to dance in the rain. You might expect that of a two-year old, but she's 23! She's still got the child-like thing going on. Not me though. I've been singing, "Rain, rain, go away! Come again some other day!"
What do we do when our world is gray? Thankfully, if we just hold on long enough, there's always beauty after the rain. God promises in Isaiah 61 that He will give us the oil of gladness instead of mourning and a garment of praise in exchange for a spirit of despair!
When you finish reading The Gray Day, check out the scriptures and questions to ponder at the end. God can turn our world of gray into a display of His splendor.

...and provide for those who grieve in Zion-to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair (Isaiah 61:3a).
I was getting ready for a fashion show. Not that I belong on the runway, but I am 5'10". People assume that all tall women are either basketball players or models. On a good day, I average one shot out of every six attempts and walking in heels has never been a graceful endeavor for me, but this modeling assignment was for a good cause-a fundraiser for a mission trip.
"Okay, I'll do it," I replied, "as long as I can wear flats."
I don't need anymore embarrassing moments to add to my repertoire.
Each model had to provide her outfit as well as a description. I knew right away what I would choose. The inspiration for my favorite skirt came from a party I attended...sort of.
