Hey Friend,
Christy Johnson

T
oday's evotional is an absolute must read about extraordinary encounters and the power of prayer. I met Andrea Decker while listening to my son, Garrett, rehearse for the youth worship band at Cherokee Hills Baptist Church last year. Since we didn't attend church there, I knew no one.

But not for long.

When Andrea introduced herself, I instantly knew we would be friends. Ever meet someone like that? I love divine introductions.

I hope that as you read today's evotional, A Game of Checkers, you will be encouraged that even in times of hardship and suffering, God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all we can ask, think or imagine. And don't forget to post your comments! I love reading what you have to say.

He never fails!

They need your prayers, but that will never happen as long as you are fixated on your own misery."

That reprimand was like a splash of cold water in my face. As ravaged as my own life was, I knew He was right. I made a decision to begin praying for these mothers. At first, all I could utter were short two sentence prayers. "Lord, please bring these mothers peace. Heal their hearts." I committed to lifting them up daily. Soon I noticed something strange. The more I prayed for them,
