Hey Friend,
Christy JohnsonWith our country's economic crisis it's more important than ever to put our hope and trust in God. Thankfully, when our world is falling, God is still faithful.

Proverbs 19:23 says, The fear of the Lord leads to life: Then one rests content, untouched by trouble.

That's a promise I'll put my faith in!

I hope that as you read today's E-votional, Trust Me, you will be reminded to refocus your faith! And don't forget to post your comments! I love reading what you have to say.

Congratulations to Pat Wehde of Colorado Springs, the winner of my recent blog contest. She received two copies of Life Lessons.

My readers rock! You all left some amazing insight in your comments. I especially loved Barbara Spillman's comment. She wrote:

"Barbara SpillmanIt's interesting to note that after Hopeful's house was destroyed, Ms. Carefree was nowhere to be found. She only took pleasure in Hopeful's company when everything was going great, but the minute the chips were down, she abandoned him."

So, now I guess I'll tell you the inspiration behind The Dream House. I wrote it for my son, Garrett, who recently turned 16. GarrettHe's at that age where the girls are looking and he's looking back! The Holy Spirit gave me the story about Hopeful to help him and other young men and women understand how important it is to build a relationship on a firm foundation and not to begin building before they are ready.
