IHELP THANK YOU & MEETING MINUTES

A Volunteer Appreciation gift was passed out at the last meeting as well as a draft of the IHELP Guide. Missed the last meeting?  If you would like a copy of the IHELP Guide and your thank you gift, please contact Kathy.  The IHELP Community is seeking to plan the next event in honor our founding partners.  Please read the Minutes  and join us at the next meeting on October 25th at 6:00PM at the Religious Society of Friends.

Working Poor Tax Credit

Did you know that TCAA is a 501(c)3 nonprofit agency?  What does this mean?  Donating to the Working Poor Tax Credit (like the school tax credit) you will receive dollar for dollar back on your state income tax.  You can also give to TCAA and still give to the school and other 501(c)3 agencies as well.  AND, better yet you can designate the funds to go to IHELP.  Individuals can donate $200 and couples can donate up to $400.  For more information contact Stephen at 480-350-5893.  This donation is a win/win situation for everyone because you get a state tax credit while you help Tempe Community Action Agency continue to administer the IHELP program.

What to know what other IHELP Communities are serving IHELP Participants?  Please email Kathy or Sam what your community serves and we will post it on the IHELP Calendar.  This is a great way to avoid duplicating meals.  The IHELP Calendar link is in the box below the IHELP Host & Meal Provider listing.

IHELP Emergency Relief Thank You

Many thanks go out to those who have provided emergency meals for our Heat Relief days.  We are still in need of extra IHELP meals for emergency purposes.  If you are able to make a meal for about 10-12 people in order for us to freeze and use as needed, please contact Sam or Kathy.  Your help in this matter is most appreciated!
