Friends Donate Birthday Party to TCAA's Holiday Toy Shoppe

The spirt of the Holiday Season is alive and well in the hearts of two friends Alyssa Miller and Megan Berg. These girls decided to do a combined Birthday party and donate all the toys to Tempe Community Action Agency's Holiday Toy Shoppe. Their unselfish act of kindness will bring smiles to many children! They will also be volunteering in TCAA's Toy Shoppe. Alyssa & Megan definitely know what this season is all about! Toy Drives still needed, contact Kathy Estrada for more information. DESIGNATE YOUR TAX CREDIT BY DECEMBER 31
The Charitable Tax Credit can be designated to your favorite program at TCAA. Below is a list of some of the programs you can choose from:
Interfaith Homeless Emergency Lodging Program (IHELP)/Shower Power Senior Action Program Home Delivered Meals Community Garden
The Charitable Tax Credit is a win-win for all! Also called the Working Poor Tax Credit, the tax credit will come off your State bill, lowering the amount of tax you will pay or increasing your refund amount. Married couples filing jointly can donate $400 to TCAA and single filers can donate up to $200. You can participate in this tax credit and the school tax credit in the same year!  Guys in Kilts Give Back
D'Arcy McGees at Tempe Marketplace is hosting the Sonoran Scotsmen Club on Thursday, December 9 from 6PM-11PM. McGees will be donating 15% of their proceeds to Tempe Community Action Agency during this time. Bring a new, unwrapped toy and receive a $2 pint! Come enjoy and see Stephen Sparks, our Director of Operations, in a kilt! |
Mayor's Run
Holiday "Team TCAA" Training
Develop an appetite for running and walking rather than lazing and crazing this Holiday Season. "Team TCAA" is looking for runners and walkers to join us in "The Mayor's Run." PF Chang's Rock 'N' Roll Arizona Marathon & Half Marathon on January 16, 2011. Your participation will raise funds for Tempe Community Action Agency, and help those needing assistance in our community. Don't put your goal of doing a marathon off for another year, email Kathy Estrada for a training packet.
