The Charitable Tax Credit is a win-win for all! Also called the Working Poor Tax Credit, the tax credit will come off your State bill, lowering the amount of tax you will pay or increasing your refund amount. Married couples filing jointly can donate $400 to TCAA and single filers can donate up to $200. You can participate in this tax credit and the school tax credit in the same year! HELP MAKE IHELP ONE OF THE BEST!
Guidestar and Great Nonprofits are teaming up to rate nonprofit programs in certain program areas. The link below is to provide comments for TCAA's food and shelter programs. These can include the Food Pantry, Home Delivered Meals, and Congregate Meals as well as IHELP. Guidestar is where our financial information is posted to donors and provides accountability for the agency. Please post your comments or reviews on this site. If TCAA receives 10 positive reviews by November 30, we will be included on the Top Rated Food & Shelter for Nonprofits List, and receive significant exposure to donors and volunteers in the media and through our campaign partners during the holiday season. Go to: www.greatnonprofits.org/reviews/write/Tempe-community-action-agency-inc
Be sure to choose "Food & Shelter Campaign" from the drop down menu of campaigns in the review template!

TCAA 6th Annual Holiday Toy Shoppe
TCAA's 6th Annual Holiday Toy Shoppe sponsored by
is underway. If you would like to volunteer to help in the Toy Shoppe, please contact Darlene. If you would like to do a Toy Drive with your business or in your community, please contact Kathy
For the past several years TCAA has teamed up with IKEA. IKEA allows TCAA to use their space for our Toy Shoppe. We have the opportunity to partner together to supply toys making the holidays brighter for many children, and our IHELP clients. Thank you to the Piper Foundation for providing items needed for IHELP clients in the IHELP Program! |

IHELP CALENDAR CHANGE
Sam has added a space to the Calendar that says Serving. The main dishes are added in this space as soon as we receive the information from the IHELP Meal Facilitators. Meal Facilitators please email the main dish to Sam Sumner or Kathy Estrada the main dish information as soon as possible, if you forget to send this before the meal please send it as soon as you can. This information creates the ability to look back on the calendar and avoid duplicating meals in the future. Thank you for your participation. Your help is appreciated by TCAA and IHELP guests! |

"TEAM TCAA" Needs You!
Join "Team TCAA" and run or walk in "The Mayor's Run"/PF Chang Marathon/Half Marathon. If you can't run or walk in the marathon you can raise funds for IHELP participants
that are walking in the half marathon. There are five IHELP Half Marathon Walkers that Need Your Help! This is a fun and healthy way to raise awareness about the IHELP program and raise funds along the way.
Other ways to sponsor a guest:
$100 Registration Fee
$250 Participant Sponsorship
$400 IHELP Sponsorship**
The proceeds of these sponsorships will go to the Interfaith Homeless Emergency Lodging Program ~ IHELP. Mayor Hallman matches each donation! Every dollar counts, no amount is too large or too small. Please contact Kathy if you are interested in being a part of this exciting team by participating in the marathon, or by sponsoring a team member! Registrations are going on now, jump in on the fun! Go "Team TCAA!" Thank you for your consideration. |
