"First Crush" Charity Gala & Silent Auction
First Crush Charity Gala - Silent Auction
Reserve your spot now!  Our First Crush Charity Gala and Silent Auction is this Friday, October 15, 2010 from 6-9PM at Hayden Ferry Lakeside.  Enjoy sampling many wines from Action Wines and delicious foods from Santa Barbara Catering while you shop a huge array of silent auction items. Two Southwest Airline tickets will be included at the auction, plus a football signed by Larry Fitzgerald! TCAA ELIGIBLE FOR CHARITABLE TAX CREDIT 
 The Charitable Tax Credit is a win-win for all!  Also called the Working Poor Tax Credit, the tax credit will come off your State bill, lowering the amount of tax you will pay or increasing your refund amount.  Married couples filing jointly can donate $400 to TCAA and single filers can donate up to $200.  You can participate in this tax credit and the school tax credit in the same year!  For questions contact Beth at 480-350-5883 or click on the attached flyer.

TCAA 6th Annual Holiday Toy Shoppe
TCAA's 6th Annual Holiday Toy Shoppe sponsored by
 
is underway.  The planning continues as we schedule volunteers.  We are thankful to our volunteers and our volunteer coordinators,  Darlene and Michael.   If you would like to volunteer to help in the Toy Shoppe, please contact Darlene.  If you would like to do a Toy Drive with your business or in your community, please contact Kathy.

 For the past several years TCAA has teamed up with IKEA. IKEA allows TCAA to use their space for our Toy Shoppe.  We have the opportunity to partner together to supply toys making the holidays brighter for many children, and our IHELP clients.  If you are interested in stocking shelves, sorting, wrapping or helping families choose gifts contact Darlene.   Thank you to the Piper Foundation for providing items needed for IHELP clients in the IHELP Program!

Thank you Bethany, City in the Desert, Grace Community & Tempe Metro for coming to the IHELP meeting and giving your valuable input.  The meeting was very productive.  We look forward to other communities joining in and sharing their thoughts.  We appreciate hearing from all our communities!  Click here to read the IHELP minutes.  Our next meeting will be Octber 11, 2011 at Grace Community Church at 5:30PM.  We hope to see you there!
"TEAM TCAA" Needs You!
"The Mayor's Run"Join "Team TCAA" and run or walk in "The Mayor's Run"/PF Chang Marathon/Half Marathon. If you can't run or walk in the marathon you can raise funds for IHELP participants 
that are walking in the half marathon.  There are five IHELP Half Marathon Walkers that Need Your Help! This is a fun and healthy way to raise awareness about the IHELP program and raise funds along the way.

$250 Participant Sponsorship

The proceeds of these sponsorships will go to the Interfaith Homeless Emergency Lodging Program ~ IHELP.  Mayor Hallman matches each donation! Every dollar counts, no amount is too large or too small.  Please contact Kathy if you are interested in being a part of this exciting team by participating in the marathon, or by sponsoring a team member!
