IHELP Meeting
Come to the next IHELP meeting and get to know volunteers from other communities. Get your questions answered and give us your input. The IHELP meeting will be held at Grace Community Church at 5:30PM in the Dorsey Center. We will meet and eat with IHELP guests. |
IHELP News - Sharing IHELP News
How does your community share IHELP News? We are doing a small survey and would like to know how you get the word out about IHELP. Does everyone in your community know how they can receive our newsletter? How can we help you get the word out about our newsletter and TCAA happenings? Come to the next meeting and share your thoughts. If you can't make the next meeting email Sam Sumner and let him know your thoughts.

Client & Case Management Corner
Do you ever wonder how IHELP guests feel about all the work that is put into doing a meal, or hosting IHELP guests. Below is a poem that articulates very well the appreciation of one particular IHELP guest. TCAA could not have said how we feel about our community partnerships any better. Thanks for all you do!!
VOLUNTEER
You give of your heart,
Your soul and yourself.
Never seeking return,
from those you help.
The cooking the cleaning,
to most just a chore.
Yet you do and do,
and then do more.
The talks, the hugs,
the encouraging smiles,
That lighten the load,
if for only awhile.
Helping the souls,
downtrodden and blue,
To see that life,
can start anew.
So, with all my heart,
I would like to say,
Thank you to all,
for each and every day!!

TCAA 6th Annual Holiday Toy Shoppe
TCAA's 6th Annual Holiday Toy Shoppe sponsored by
is underway. The planning continues as we schedule volunteers. We are thankful to our volunteers and our volunteer coordinators, Darlene and Michael. If you would like to volunteer to help in the Toy Shoppe, please contact Darlene. If you would like to do a Toy Drive with your business or in your community, please contact Michael.
For the past several years TCAA has teamed up with IKEA. IKEA allows TCAA to use their space for our Toy Shoppe. We have the opportunity to partner together to supply toys making the holidays brighter for many children, and our IHELP clients. If you are interested in stocking shelves, sorting, wrapping or helping families choose gifts contact Darlene. Thank you to the Piper Foundation for providing items needed for IHELP clients in the IHELP Program! |

"TEAM TCAA" is Looking for Runners & Community Partners
"Team TCAA" is looking for community partners to manage fundraising for an IHELP guest for "The Mayor's Run". IHELP Guests Need Your Help! Since guests are unable to obtain their own sponsorship, we are asking for volunteers to step up and commit to raising funds for one of the IHELP guests below. We are looking for managers to take one of the following first time marathon participants:
James J. Mark H.
Greg W. Kevin Cunningham - IHELP Coordinator
Kyle M. Sam Sumner - IHELP Director
Rob S.
This is a fun way to raise awareness about the IHELP program while raising funds along the way. Other ways to sponsor a guest:
$100 Registration Fee
$250 Participant Sponsorship
$400 IHELP Sponsorship**
The proceeds of these sponsorships will go to the Interfaith Homeless Emergency Lodging Program ~ IHELP. Mayor Hallman matches each donation! Every dollar counts, no amount is too large or too small. Please contact Kathy if you are interested in being a part of this exciting team by participating in the marathon, or by sponsoring a team member! Register soon training is going on now. It's not too late to jump in on the fun! Go "Team TCAA!" Thank you for your consideration.
