News from our Client & Case Management Corner
TCAA would like to welcome Kevin Cunningham, our new IHELP Intake Coordinator.  Kevin was a skilled tradesman who supported himself for years as an electrician, plumber and carpenter. However, with the economic downturn, he found himself unable to find work and support himself. Kevin was introduced to the IHELP program by a friend, and has been a participant since last year. In January,  Kevin became an IHELP Monitor and showed great potential and work ethic. As he progressed in the program, it became apparent that Kevin had the potential to be more than a Monitor. Kevin has an innate ability to work with clients in crisis situations, and relate to the IHELP population in a very effective way. Kevin was recently offered the IHELP Intake Coordinator position at TCAA, and his official start date was on August 9, 2010. Kevin is very grateful for the IHELP program and feels this job is a great opportunity for him. TCAA couldn't be more pleased to have him as an employee. Welcome Kevin!  This is another great example of how IHELP is working.
IHELP Questions/New to IHELP Hosting
Please feel free to email Sam Sumner or contact him at
480-350-5876 for any IHELP related questions.  Sam is generally in the office and available from 10AM-12PM every day, and is happy to be of assistance. **If you are new to IHELP and want to learn more about the program, or are interested in hosting we suggest that you contact Sam.  He will gladly meet you at a host site and explain how the hosting process works.  Watching the facilitation of a meal from start to finish is the best way to get to know the program.
Thanks for Responding
TCAA & IHELP is constantly amazed by the community support we receive for IHELP.  Our urgent response request went out Wednesday, and within 24 hours the dates were filled. Thanks so much Temple Emanuel, Jenny Norton, Witter Family & Friends!  Thanks also to City in the Desert for always being willing to take a spot.  Many thanks go out to all the communities for continuing to support IHELP.  Words truly can't express our appreciation!
