Client Corner - Roy E's Success Story
Roy E. is a successful I-HELP client who will admit to having made some poor choices which led him to living in his car and on the streets in March 2010.  He got involved with the wrong people and was using drugs and alcohol.  One day he realized he needed to stand up and be accountable. He started praying and letting people know he was trying to change his life.  He went to Salvation Army and was told to come to I-HELP and meet with Sam.  Roy asked Sam if he could volunteer somewhere because he wanted to work while looking for employment.  He was put in touch with Monica to volunteer in TCAA's Food Pantry while staying in I-HELP.   Roy said, "helping others by serving in the Food Pantry gave me new meaning and purpose, and raised my self-esteem."  Roy was referred to the East Valley Men's Center, and accepted into their program.  In July, Roy obtained a job working for TASK Drug Testing Laboratory.  Roy said, "God had a hand on everyone's heart to help me, and one day I want to do the same for others."   This is what I-HELP is all about helping others get the assistance they need to move forward in their lives.
