Shower Power!
Tempe Leadership Class XXV Class Project Benefits Homeless

Tempe Leadership Class XXV, a nonprofit, tax-exempt, community-spirited program of the Tempe Chamber of Commerce, is seeking monetary donations to purchase a mobile shower unit for homeless individuals who participate in Interfaith Homeless Emergency Program (I-HELP).  The project, known as "Shower Power," will allow the working homeless in Tempe the most basic human dignity and aiding their competiveness in the workforce.  Hygeine items and towel drives are also needed!

I-HELP is looking for volunteers to help transport the shower trailer to the host site and back to the secure storage yard each evening.  Volunteers will need to own a vehicle that can tow up to 5000 lbs.  For more information about volunteering to transport the shower trailer, contact Stephen Sparks at 480-350-5893.

For information about the entire project visit www.showerpower.org or contact Stephen Sparks, Class XXV member.
Volunteer Opportunity
Looking for a great volunteer opportunity? I-HELP is looking for individual volunteers or groups to donate plates, forks, knives, cups, etc. to be distributed to some of our local congregations.  If interested in doing a drive or donating what you have around the house, please contact Sam Sumner .

In addition, a few partners could use help with washing sheets & blankets, please contact Sam Sumner for additional information.
Meal Dates
Good News: we are experiencing requests from new volunteer groups to serve meals!   This is a great way for new volunteers to get to know the program and we may ask some congregations who have consistant dates to allow someone else to provide the meal if possible - if this happens we will contact you directly.  Please contact us at ihelp@tempeaction.org with any questions.  Thanks!
