Greetings!
This is my favorite time of year...the weather is mild, the leaves will soon be in color and I feel blessed to have established our Blooma family tree with you all a part of it! It's Back to School for many and it feels like a great time to come back to our core and re-focus on our mission to love, nurture and empower women as they transition into motherhood for the first, second or third time.
This month at Blooma, we are all about educating and all about our kids. So why not get back to Blooma and see what we have coming this Fall with great classes, great workshops and great adventures like "Blooma in Uganda"!

PRENATAL CORNER
Birthing Options Beyond Cesarean Section
When it comes to birthing, you have a choice about how, where, and with whom you bring your little one into the world. But it's not always easy to know how to go about making those choices. Join us for a candid conversation about your options for birth: From changing care providers late in pregnancy to researching your options for birth after cesarean section, we can help.
One Blooma mama had this to say after her successful VBAC recently:
"I am so thankful for all that Blooma has given us and want to thank you for your VBAC education class. Just being educated from your workshop and all our research made us feel like active particpants with decisions we had to make. In addition, during prenatal yoga, I have never felt more engaged with my body. Thank you so much for your compassion for pregnant women."
When: Saturday, September 26th
Time: 6-8pm Fee: $18 or use a class pass |

CHIROPRACTIC CARE
Prenatal & Postnatal Chiropractic Care
with Channing McKinley
Chiropractic care is centered on the body's innate ability to heal itself. Imbalances that may have gone unnoticed frequently appear with the weight gain of the 2nd and 3rd trimesters. Conditions including sciatica, low back pain, headaches, carpal tunnel, hip pain, and more can be greatly improved with chiropractic care.
The greatest benefit for most pregnant women is a more comfortable pregnancy with less pain and less dysfunction. Balancing the pelvis creates the optimal amount of space for the baby to pass through during birth. Studies have shown that first time moms under chiropractic care have an average of 25% shorter labors, while moms who have already given birth have 31% shorter labors with chiropractic care. BLOOMA GOES TO AFRICA
Off the Mat and into the World:
Blooming in Uganda
In Uganda only 39 percent of women give birth with a skilled attendant present. Help Blooma change this statistic.
Blooma Founder, Sarah Longacre is taking her passion for birth and yoga to Uganda Africa. Alongside renowned yoga instructor Seane Corn, Sarah will help build a birth center. Off the Mat, Into the World™ (OTM) is a program that aims to inspire and guide you to find and define your purpose and become active in your local or global community in an effective, sustainable and joyful way.
Join Blooma this fall as we take on the huge challenge of raising $20K and awareness of the birth and HIV crisis in Uganda.
Keep your eyes open as we soon will be launching the "Blooming in Uganda" website where you can find out more ways to get involved. October and November will be our fundraising months (and Blooma's 2nd birthday!) so mark your calendars..... especially October 17th and November 13th.
