Greetings!
Happy Holidays! Another, shall we say very interesting, year has come to an end. Here at Sentient Services it has been an amazing year for us with growth, new offerings, and travel (Berlin, Beijing, Tokyo, London and more) - we are truly blessed and just plain lucky to have y'all as clients, partners, and friends.
At Sentient Services our mission is to do good, do good work and have some fun along the way. In keeping with our mission we support several charities throughout the year including LifeWorks and AustinProBono.org. At the end of each year we choose a charity to partner with to share our good fortune for the year (we figure you won't miss the extra bag of popcorn from us). This year we are supporting an amazing organization out of Nashville!
The organization is: East Nashville Cooperative Ministry. Their mission is to bring food security to those in need through education, outreach, community gardens and other unique entrepreneurial endeavors. Current projects include new community gardens, a thrift store, a community bakery and many other projects that empower people to make choices that improve their lives on a daily basis.

Why this organization? Very simply it makes a very real and impactful difference every day on a core issue that affects everything from homelessness to education and crime.
As I think about it - if I miss one meal I am irritable, 2 meals and I'm not such a nice Dad or boss...and it only goes downhilll from there. Imagine just missing a meal or two daily, like millions of Americans do every day. You simply can't function properly.
Through this charity we are making a difference in the daily ability for people to function and thrive like we all have the right to.

Matt Is Back!
We are happy to have one of our flock back.
Matt was an integral part of Sentient's growth over the past few years, but alas, followed love (now his wife) to California. While there Matt worked in politics helping run constituent campaigns, direct mail, media, research and online marketing. All great skills to have, and during an exciting election year, so we are happy to add these capabilities and experience to the Sentient portfolio.
Matt will be working as a Research Analyst and also helping launch our new game changing innovation and research platform in 2011. Matt is moving back to Austin this week, we can't wait to have him here for our Holiday celebration! |
