In our day-to-day research activities we evaluate hundreds of new methodologies, tools and software platforms each year. We thought we would take a few minutes to tell you about some that we have found and really like.

Yeah, some of it is part of our "secret sauce", but we are happy to share! We hope you can use these in your own research and when you need the Sentient team and our expertise we will be there for you. Please enjoy.
  • CHART PORN: Not technically a tool, but you can waste a whole day here, and get some great ideas on presenting data.
    • GuapoVideo: Have not used, but looks cool.
    • Plain Frame: We use it to quickly set up navigation and menu options and invite online users to complete tasks and get a quick read on task flow, nomenclature and usability.
    • WebSort: We use it for remote card sorting online. This allows us to test site architecture, product bundles and more.
  • SMASHING MAGAZINE: Filled with tons of tools and articles on design, usability, and best practices. We have linked to a wireframing kit page.
  • 37 DATA BLOGS: Blog post linking to blogs on data, stats, presenting and more.
