Ethanol makes a Splash!
Cutting edge technology gives a fresh approach to fire
The newest products to enter the fireplace market from Europe involve the use of biomass fuel, or ethanol. This is a new interpretation of the fireplace concept offering the advantages of no smoke, smell, or soot, and without the installation of gas lines or venting systems.

These decorative "fireplaces" have found acceptance in New York, California, and Chicago, and have been sold internationally in 40 countries. The fuel is sold in 1 liter containers, with operating cost at approximately $2.50 per hour. Burn times range from 90 minutes to 9 hours.
