"One of the most challenging parts of choosing a direct vent fireplace is finding a front that is asthetically pleasing.  In the beginning, most direct vent models were designed to use louvers and eyebrow hoods.  Some might say this makes the fireplace look cluttered and abtrusive (see BEFORE photo).  Over time, many manufacturers have come up with other options like screen door kits and cleaner-looking louver panels.  Some manufacturers have even managed to eliminate louvers altogether.  Still, these options are limited to what the manufacturer offers.

 

Thanks to some of our after-market accessory lines (like Stoll and Design Specialites), we are able to provide our customers with more possiblities for direct vent fronts.  Custom Single Panel Screens (as shown in AFTER photo above) are an attractive option for any direct vent fireplace.  Available in a wide variety of finishes and styles, each screen is custom built to exact specifications.  Custom Screen Door Kits are also available.
