Art Walk Easthampton
The traditional Art Walk Easthampton happens this Saturday from 5 to 8 and is always a good reason to come to Easthampton, or stay in Easthampton!
And we here at the Old Town Hall have a few good reasons for you to come and spend some time with us:
Besides the above mentioned "Hung Over" exhibit at the Elusie Gallery, the Easthampton City Art Space will host an exhibit of original artwork work by 1 Cottage Street artist Annie Steiner (Bonjour Annie!)
But most important: you will be able to listen to local singer -songwriter - framer Cindy Bow in a rare and long overdue gig about 20ft away from her workplace. Can't be more local than that!
Cindy at the Manhan Cafe (only image I could find on line...)
Here is Cindy's invitation, in her own words:
Hello Everyone!
I'm coming out of hiding and I will be playing a small little teeny tiny gig for Easthampton's Famous Art Walk, Saturday the 12th. The walk is from 5-8 all over town. I will not be playing from 5-8. I will be playing around 6 then a break and again around 7 maybe. So to be sure 6 would be a better bet and then if you wanna hear the same songs again stick around and if the first set went well I might do it again. :) And then maybe no one will be able to stop me and I'll spend the rest of my days at the end of the hall in the Town Hall.
Oh yeah: I will be at the Old Town Hall which is where Eastmont Custom Framing, where I work, Elusie Gallery and Easthampton City Arts is located. Hope to see you there. Cindy
Another reason to
come on down !
For art, music, and wine in real glasses!
By the way: did you know that Cindy has been with Eastmont for almost 6 years now?
She popped into the Eastmont Frame Station one day in 2002 and asked if I was hiring.
I was!
She started without much prior experience but a lot of enthusiasm and desire to learn. And now she is confortable handling most custom framing designs. If you have had anything framed lately, it has most likely been handled by Cindy, I'm way too busy making up silly jokes and writing newsletters.
Cindy:
Eastmont would
not happen without you!
