I hope you had a chance to read the email message I sent out last week - thank you for letting me interrupt your busy day and thank you for taking the time to read my message. As I promised in my email communication last week to Imaging Spectrum Sony customers, I want to keep you up to date on the changing Sony - DNP printer and media situation. Imaging Spectrum received an update from DNP yesterday, Monday April 11, 2011, regarding updated ETAs for shipping media for Sony printers. The information is outlined below. Please note that these are estimates and the actual availability could change.

A word about Price Gouging

It came to our attention that some of our competitors have taken advantage of the devastation caused by the Tsunami in Japan, the transition of Sony and DNP, and the depleted stock of Sony inventory by price gouging. We have witnessed published prices for 4x6 media at double Imaging Spectrum's regular selling price. We want to assure you that during this challenging time, Imaging Spectrum will be here to support you, and provide you with valuable solutions at a competitive price. Please be aware that prices will go up a little on some part numbers - DNP is facing higher costs due to the situation in Japan and economic factors beyond their control (like the rising cost of oil). However, you can be sure that Imaging Spectrum will never take advantage of a shortage to make a short term gain. We are committed to you - our customer and partner.
