In addition to the INSPIRED. 6 core artist classes, I have invited local and manufacturer artists to teach smaller 1 hour mini-workshop classes each evening during the students relaxed cropping and crafting time which I am calling the Open Art Forum. The Open Art Forum will be held in the main ballroom where you can sit and create, chat with your friends, etc.
The mini-workshop classes will be in place outside of the ballroom in classrooms as an INSPIRED. introduction to different styles and mediums of craft and will be totally optional.
AND did I mention I am teaching one too!

have been fascinated with gemstones and have loved making jewelry since
I was a child. As a "design-your-own" jewelry store owner, I have
developed my passion into my profession. Jewelology is a place where
women and girls of all ages come to design and create jewelry. Making
jewelry is truly a form of therapy for me and for many of my students.
The different combinations of color and texture are endless, and are as
distinctive as each woman who puts together a piece of jewelry. I have
found that students are often drawn to certain gemstones, pearls,
metals, and crystals because these materials carry a certain energy or
association that resonates with the individual. I encourage my
students to build on the materials that strike them, as jewelry is
ART. And as wearable art reflecting spirit and style, it is a genuine
form of self-expression.

Earring Basics - $5

to make beautiful drop earrings with headpins and earwires, leverbacks,
or studs. May also learn the technique of wire wrapping a top-drilled
bead (teardrop) upon request.
Bracelet Basics - $10
Compose and create a bracelet of your own design, attaching a clasp and optional dangles or chain.
Necklace Basics - $15
Turn
your vision into a wearable work of art! Using a measured bead board
and jewelry wire, learn the technique of crimping to attach a clasp to
a beaded necklace. A pendant may be added as desired.
